Ecosystem Restoration and Meliponist
Ben Angus, B Engineering (Civil), MIE Aust, has over 15 years project consulting experience in a range of sectors from Commercial, Education, Health, Aged Care, Justice, Government, Retail and Residential.
Ben’s passion for the natural environment and ecosystem restoration began as a Meliponist (Stingless Beekeeper) at a young age.
Recently, Ben oversaw the restoration of a land-form for Northern Metropolitan Cemetery Trust involving asbestos remediation, hydrological controls, regrading of embankments and native vegetation planting and regeneration.
With a wealth of knowledge, creating habitats for fauna with a focus on native pollinators (including stingless bees) drives Ben’s approach to ecosystem restoration and protection. Active in the community as a member of local beekeeping clubs, Ben consults and provides stingless beehives for the agricultural industry.
